INPATIENT REHABILITATION FACILITY

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The project will design and construct a new inpatient rehabilitation facility to replace the existing Spain Rehabilitation Center. The building will be 350,000 gsf with 11 stories tall and will hold 78 rehabilitation beds, 28 acute care beds, and state-of-the-art technology specifically designed to provide comprehensive rehabilitation care for patients from across Alabama and beyond.

The project features a city street replication with curb ramps, sidewalks, crosswalks and traffic signals that will simulate real life pedestrian mobility skills to facilitate patient recovery.

Efforts were being coordinated with other architectural disciplines to provide a comprehensive design. Engineering services include, civil site design, site grading and drainage plan, erosion and sediment control plans, utility systems design, civil construction details and construction administration.
