RECONFIGURATION OF PARKING LOT 15D
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Engineering and construction administration services for a 240 space parking lot at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. In response to sustainability and environmental concerns on an urban campus, this project incorporated the design of a bio-swale, an urban landform used to convey surface water in order to enhance infiltration and reduce surface runoff. The bio-swale serves to reduce sediment load and other water pollutants from reaching natural watercourses. At DCS, we place a strong emphasis on well-designed low impact developments and cost effective solutions, which consider environmental concerns.
Engineering services included civil site design, site grading and drainage plan, erosion and sediment control plans, utility systems design, civil construction details and construction administration.
