PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Maclean Power Systems in Alabaster, AL recently completed a multifaceted construction project involving a new 100,000 sf manufacturing and warehouse facility, loading docks and 300 parking spaces.

The project was a showcase of civil engineering services that provided a comprehensive and efficient solution to the client’s needs. Civil engineering services included surveying, site development, stormwater management, roadway and parking lot design, utility systems, erosion control, permitting, and construction oversight. The site development entailed creating a grading and drainage plan that addressed potential surface water runoff issues and provided erosion control measures that ensured no sediment escaped the site. Furthermore, a comprehensive hydraulic model was developed to ensure that flooding impacts to the surrounding area were addressed.

Paving included asphalt and concrete roadways, parking lots and sidewalks, as well as loading docks for the facility. The project was a success and provides Maclean Power Systems with a new facility that meets their needs and is built to last.
