PROJECT DESCRIPTION

UAB men’s and women’s intercollegiate soccer teams compete in Division I of the NCAA and are members of Conference USA (C-USA). Both programs have been highly successful in past years with the men’s program ranked in the top 25 nationally in 16 of the last 18 seasons and the women’s program winning the C-USA championship 3 times in the past 10 years. Additionally, UAB’s soccer programs have been among the national leaders in soccer attendance finishing as high as 16th nationally in average game attendance.

The facility includes a new playing field that meets the requirements of Conference USA (C-USA) for tournament play, new irrigation and drainage systems for the playing surface, new lighting and a public address system, a 5,000 spectator capacity aluminum grandstand, a scoreboard, a press box, a parking lot, as well as new restroom and concession facilities.

Engineering services included civil site design, site grading and drainage plan, erosion and sediment control plans, utility systems design, civil construction details and construction administration.
