HANGAR 7 TAXILANE RECONSTRUCTION

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Hangar 7 Taxilane Rehabilitation project was initiated in response to the current poor condition of the taxilane pavement, covering an approximate area of 150 ft x 50 ft at the Birmingham International Airport. The Birmingham Airport Authority (BAA) recognized the need for comprehensive rehabilitation to address the existing deterioration and potential drainage issues. The project’s scope encompasses civil design, geotechnical exploration, bidding, construction administration, construction materials testing, and resident project representation (RPR).

The reconstruction effort will adhere to FAA specifications, ensuring compliance with rigorous standards for pavement design. The primary goal is to enhance the overall condition and functionality of the taxilane, promoting longevity and safety for continued operational efficiency.
