BHM RUNWAY 18-36 REHABILITATION

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Birmingham’s primary General Aviation Runway, Runway 18-36, with its substantial length of 7,100 feet, has been a critical hub for over 30 years. However, the wear and tear resulting from continuous use necessitated a comprehensive rehabilitation effort. To address this, Dynamic Civil Solutions, as an integral part of the contractor’s team, took on the responsibility of construction surveying and layout for the entire project.

Dynamic Civil Solutions played a crucial role in re-establishing horizontal and vertical controls, centerline stationing and elevations, pavement cross slopes, and managing striping and pavement markings layout. Our expertise ensured that the rehabilitated runway not only met stringent engineering standards but also addressed signs of deterioration. The team’s meticulous approach extended to generating comprehensive as-built documentation, providing a vital record for future maintenance and operational considerations.
